Reports indicate that Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a plane loaded with care packages to assist earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey.

The Portugal captain personally financed the provision of tents, food packages, pillows, blankets, beds, baby food, milk, and medical supplies, aiming to offer relief to those affected by the tragic events in the region. The items have been dispatched to both Turkey and Syria. According to Marca, the value of this donation is estimated at $350,000.

In a separate initiative, Turkish footballer Merih Demiral received permission from Ronaldo to auction one of his signed jerseys from his collection, with the proceeds intended to support the earthquake victims.

“I just spoke with Cristiano. He said that he was very sad about what happened in Turkey. We are auctioning Ronaldo’s signed jersey in my collection. All proceeds from the auction will be used in the earthquake zone,” Demiral announced on Twitter.

On Feb. 6, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck southern Turkey near the northern border of Syria, followed approximately nine hours later by a magnitude 7.5 earthquake located about 59 miles (95 kilometers) to the southwest.

This is not the first time Ronaldo has made such generous donations.

The AL-Nassr FC forward previously covered the $83,000 cost of a child’s brain surgery and donated $165,000 to help fund a cancer center in Portugal.
