The legend of opera Andrea Bocelli and his 20-year-old son Matteo Bocelli collaborated for a heart-wrenching performance that left many people crying.

On September 22, 2018, Andrea, 60, released a music video for their first shared single called "Fall On Me" from the new album "Si."

"Anyone who is a parent, anyone who knows the precious responsibility of being a mother or a father, will fully grasp the meaning of this piece. ‘Fall On Me’ is the first time I have duetted with my son Matteo Bocelli," the Italian singer wrote on his YouTube channel.

Andrea grew up partly blind but lost all his sight upon getting struck in the eye at a football game. After a few medical procedures, specialists failed to restore his sight.

The legendary musician moved on, finding solace and reward in his music. His child Matteo brought him more happiness when he began singing with his dad.

The two finally released a single titled “Fall On Me," which is their first-time duet.

The video is simple but incredibly moving. Set in an expansive white corridor, the pair sit in front of the two pianos facing opposite directions.

In the emotional clip, the father and son can be seen wearing matching black tuxedos.

Matteo starts the duet by singing to his father while Andrea takes to the piano to accompany him. Andrea's pride in his child is evident as he breaks into a broad grin.

The following verse is sung by Andrea, who sings in Italian. The chemistry and love between the two are evident all through the video.

The music video also indicates pictures of the dad and child duo with numerous photos demonstrating Matteo when he was only a kid.

The photos show Matteo’s youth where he’s seen cuddling his father as he giggles and a particular moment where he gets a kiss on the forehead.

Fans have confessed to being moved to tears by the clip and the melody.

Their single “Fall On Me” will be used as the soundtrack to the end credits of an upcoming Disney motion picture called “The Nutcracker and The Four Realms.” Matteo’s sibling, Amos Bocelli, will also feature on their father’s new album.

Back in July 2018, Andrea also teamed up with the 27-year-old singer Ed Sheeran to create a magical rendition of Sheeran’s hit song, "Perfect."

Sheeran's joint effort with Andrea proved to be yet another one of his experimental hits.

The music is relieving and sweet. But the music video of this rendition is significantly more intense and magical as it highlights the musical show legend himself.

Very few individuals know that Andrea was discovered when his demo tape of him singing found its way into the hands of Luciano Pavarotti. Italian rock star Zucchero was the one who passed on the tape.

Andrea was then invited to go on tour with Zucchero where the two performed the song “Miserere” together.
